Freedom wins! Napoleon’s power is finally squashed, the American slave trade is declared illegal, and Mexico wins its independence! With freedom, however, comes a whole new set of problems! We will define the balance between freedom and unity as we study the dividing up of South America. And all is not well in Africa -- we will visit the great war in the Zulu Kingdom, a war in Africa recorded by two Englishmen. Prepare to engage in a class ‘battle’ to define equality, freedom, and what it means to be a leader!
