Mental math is the invaluable math skill that allows people to do math “in their head” without the use of any tools, such as a calculator or pen and paper, or fingers! Mental math is useful for kids in school and in everyday life. It provides better understanding of math concepts and helps to get the answer faster!
Calculating with mental math hacks can be really time-saving, from adding or subtracting multiple digit numbers or finding out the best multi-buy deals in the supermarket, to calculating the time for the next train. This is an essential building block that replaces the physical Abacus in the child’s mind. Everyone can learn mental math hacks! They are not just for math geeks!
Prerequisites:Knowledge of simple arithmetic operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Knowledge of multiplication tables (2 to 9).
